Volunteer with United Rescue Jersey City!

Be a part of the nation’s first community-based emergency response program: United Rescue.
Jersey City Medical Center is recruiting members of the community to build a team of trained volunteers that will respond to health emergencies throughout Jersey City. Volunteers receive 65+ hours of free medical training and are supplied with medical equipment at no cost. To qualify, volunteers must live, work or go to school in Jersey City.
When a 911 call is placed to Jersey City Medical Center, United Rescue volunteers located near the patient will be alerted. Ambulance response time in urban areas average 9-11 minutes. Using GPS technology, United Rescue volunteers are able to respond within 3 minutes.
