Jersey City Real Estate Is Refreshed and Recharged

Spring is bringing a burst of energy into the Jersey City real estate market. In the spring of 2020, many Jersey City residents fled the city post-lockdown, unsure of what their new relationship with city life would be in a new era of work-from-home normalcy. At the same time, an influx of New York City residents left their city for Hudson County. Fast forward to 2022, and the desire for an accessible, inviting city with a neighborhood feel is everything everyone seems to be looking for and everything Jersey City has to offer.

What exactly is it that residents are looking for in an apartment in Jersey City in 2022? Vanessa Imme, Director of Leasing at SILVERMAN, says “many are returning to the city because they miss walkable living and a sense of community.” Year after year, Jersey City is recognized by various publications (most recently, Expedia) as a top 10 most walkable city in the country. In just 5 weeks time, the SILVERMAN Leasing Team broke their portfolio record by leasing up the entire building. “It’s clear that there is desire for more dynamic living in Jersey City, and we’re thrilled to be able to provide residents with innovative, beautiful homes that meet those desires,” Vanessa says.

 

Confidence in Coworking

While many are flocking back to their offices after a two year hiatus, the average working professional continues to explore what flexibility in their career can look like in 2022 and beyond. Andco coworking is located in downtown Jersey City across from City Hall on the second floor of Charles & Co., and has been buzzing with busy bees ever. The space offers 3 types of memberships, Floating, Reserved Desk or Private Office. Between 2020 – 2021, the space remained safely open. In 2022, it’s become clear that coworking is here to stay. Andco currently has all Private offices filled, with a handful of Reserved Desks and Floating memberships available. SILVERMAN will be introducing a second coworking space later this year in the Hamilton Park neighborhood, at Swift & Co.
