SILVERMAN Celebrates Park Francis Ribbon Cutting & Full Occupancy!
SILVERMAN celebrated the Grand Opening of Park Francis with a remarkable Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, July 24, 2018! Brothers Eric and Paul Silverman, Mayor Steven Fulop, the City Council, Krista Misuraca of Salon 10N, Reverend Thomas Quinn of Saint Michael Church, and SILVERMAN’s Director of Operations John Reichart contributed to the program and said a few words during the Ribbon Cutting! Attendees enjoyed delicious meatballs from GP’S Hamilton Park, mouth watering grilled cheese sandwiches from Van Hook Cheese Hamilton Park, tasty cupcakes from Milk Sugar Love, smoothies & banana bread from Smith & Chang General Goods, and a feast of Cuban food, hand rolled cigars, and cocktails from Rumba Cubana. A four piece Cuban Band and DJ Michael Dempy filled the neighborhood with festive tunes! Congratulations to all of the retailers at Park Francis: Salon 10N, Tribeca Pediatrics, Rumba Cubana, Project Pilates, and North Park Cleaners!
Estabilished in the late 1800’s, St. Francis Hospital stood firm at the eastern edge of Hamilton Square Park, evolving into a six-builiding complex over its 150 years, taking over Pavonia Avenue is 1980. The Prominent landmark has since been redeveloped into a dynamic, multi-faceted neighborhood by SILVERMAN.
The Grand Opening was a celebration for the last phase: Park Francis, a beautiful building adding to the charm of Hamilton Square, Park Francis 100% occupancy, and the re-opening of Pavonia Avenue.
In addition to utilzing the hospital’s historic name, the St. Francis School of Nursing building is now home to Hamilon Park Montessori School, Jersey City artists studios, and is the backdrop to Wendy in the Window, a mural by French artist, Seth.
July 24, 2018 was a great day!
